What jet did you put in. Sounds rich. Don't rev it out of the water, that's not good for anything.  :-[

Hi Tom, sorry for late reply, had it idling on bench and had aftermarket ware ring slip out, put a factory one in as I thought maybe that had something to do with it, it is very very tight,
Well that wasn’t it, same low rpm today,
The new jet was one you sent me to try,
So factory jet peaked at 4100 and dropped like a rock
New jet peaks 3900 and drops to 3750
So if any jet recommendations I’d like to try them, or anything else,
Has your water cooled muffler and engine cover add ons

Are you jetting richer, or leaner? The plug will look lean when it's making best power. I drill the stock KX jet a hair larger, don't remember the drill size but I'll try to find that out at some point. Things have been pretty busy around here lately...
