I've seen enough positive test results to be happy with the end product. Adjusted the design to improve lubrication and ease of assembly and can't find anything left to change. Only thing left is to turn it loose and see how it fares.

Here are the inspection pics from today's run.

That's my goal!  :) Get with me after next week, going to be gone the whole week for Thanksgiving vacation. Will be back at the grind the first week of Dec. Looking like it will be $105 per pump for the conversion, and will be upgrading the lube to Amsoil Extreme Gear 75/140. Same stuff I use in the gear reduction drive on the Rotax 503 I fly. Good stuff.  \./8

I am also interested in 1 due to the fact that my pump turns rather stiffly and fails the hand spin test without moving the pump while on the bench.

Just a short note to update all what i discovered with Tom’s redesigned pump.  I took my vintage 2006 out to our  Delta and immediately noticed an improvement over last time on the water. Typically, my 2006 does 10 to 11 and now upped incrementally to 11 to 12 in same water conditions.  Any improvement on this vintage mokai regarding speed is a big deal for they are to find.  As always Tom, thanks again for another welcome retrofit!

Woohoo! That's what I like to hear. Glad it's been a noticeable difference for you too, I couldn't be happier with the design.  :)

Thanks for the feedback!!  >:D

The new pump upgrade is one of my reasons to make the trip down this Spring, along with the need for a bit more speed.  ;)
