Title: Updated Web Site featuring 2.0
Post by: Mokai Dreamin' on November 14, 2019, 12:08:33 AM
Hello folks:

Just noticed today that Mokai updated their website to showcase the 2.0. It's about time! Some good pictures of the new hood, and fuel pump. Looks like the clutch is gone, and no mention of bringing it back.

Too, much money for what is offered. I have a JetAngler that beats the mokai for fish-ability, speed and clearance.  :P

Still, StikBoat, JetAngler has issues as well. I will have a complete review of them soon.

That's more details about a model than they've ever shared before. Finally took the time to make a decent video too. Just have to wait and hear from owners on how it actually performs in the real world over the long run. Hood looks like an improvement, but still nothing to stop water from going in the muffler opening. Should have had a lip around that perimeter.

Hopefully it will help them out with sales. They do very little on the way of marketing, so nice to see this change. I think they did a decent job with the videos and photos of showing what the boat is all about.  I agree a lip around the muffler probably would have helped a bit, but most of the water comes in at slow speed, not at full throttle. Of course some really sharp turns and you could certainly invite a lot of water in! I'm curious to see what the cold air intake does to the rpm's. Should help for sure.

I'm not sure if anybody else noticed, but they also now extended the choke cable into the air Plenum. That thing was a royal PITA to get to and damn near impossible while you're on the water. At least now you can get access to it.

Can hardly wait for spring to test all the stuff out!
