I'll look again when I get home, and see if I saved any pics of the engine cover.

One thing I've learned from the R/C aircraft hobby, is that servos fail.. and always at a bad time. Putting one on a hot engine in a marine environment with lots of vibration just seemed like a bad idea to me. Hope it proves reliable for everyone's sake, an engine stuck at full throttle could be a bad thing.

I think the new engine mounting pins are a vast improvement over the previous design, thumbs up to Mokai for that change.  \./8

I don't like the looks of the pump hanging out the back unprotected. Were I've been in my boat I'am sure I would have banged it up or worse.

Yup, I agree... I expect there will be lots of problems with that, just a matter of time.  :-[

Came to my attention that the Poll above needed another option, which has been added.

I will join the 'Post More Pictures' crowd.

I had ordered 3 of these back 13 months ago and they were (of course) never delivered. I tried not to burn any bridges with the manufacturer and may consider one if they could really deliver it on time. I do find it interesting that I have never been contacted in regard to my 3 boats which were to be here this past April......... I bought 2 on the after market and got lucky, one is totally tricked out with every mod that Tom sells and the other was an unassembled 2012 which had never been started. All's well that ends well I guess, I did have plans for the 3 piece hull boats but am learning to deal with what I have.

I would be interested in hearing about how the boat handles ie; turning and accelerating as well as any other observations you may have.

I'm not impressed  :)

I'm waiting for my pump and clutch to get here from Tom. He fixed me up so I'll have the Auto Bilge and a Centrifugal Clutch in my 2012 and I know the 2014 doesn't have those little nuggets.

Would like to see some videos of the ES-KAPE on the water in traveling mode... Some of the guys here on this site go through some very dangerous rapids... I would like to know if they would trust this boat. Would it get damaged? Especially the Alaska gents... They got it rough sometimes...

I received two 2017 Mokai ES-Kate today.  I assembled and put on the trailer and looking forward to putting them in the river tomorrow for a test run.  After looking at some of your videos Tom I think I need to give a closer look at some of the compression clamps.  Thanks for the info Tom.
