silicone grease
« on: April 15, 2014, 09:01:02 PM »
Just thought I'd share a tip I have been doing for a while. A lot of us have the quick disconnect fittings on our pumps and also on the gas tank and all of them have the little black o-rings on the male end. I take a Q-tip and roll the end in some silicone grease you can buy at the local plumbing supply, and smear that around the small o-rings. This will keep the rubber from drying out and breaking down and also aid in inserting and removal of the fitting and keep a good water tight seal. I will ad some pictures below of what I'm talking about.
