Warm, sunny and the river was rising, Mokai needed a good 15 mile run and I wanted to see some gators. Today was a good day!! :)

Awesome pics Tom!

It's hard to beat some time on the water.

Cheers, Steve

Great pictures Tom. I really liked the one with the turtle perched precariously above the Gator.Makes me wonder who was there first. That's one thing I'll never  see hanging out  with turtles in Pa.That is so cool.

Thanks man, Those turtles were all around that gator like they were tanning buddies or something... hahhaha I'd never seen anything like it before either! Goes to show that no matter how much time you spend on a river, you never know what you'll see next time...  ;D

Enjoying the photos.  Especially the Wood Stork.  Nice shot.  I wasn't aware they were so far north.  I've only seen them in south Florida.  Are they common where you are?

Thanks, I see them regularly while out. Lots of Blue Herring and Bald Eagles too. A very interesting and scenic river to say the least.  ;D

I'm looking forward to the "jumping" season of the Short nosed Sturgeon, they are most impressive to watch jumping out of the water. Almost a little scary to think of one landing on me in my Mokai..

These are still some of my favorite river pics. Finally was able to fix this post so they would show!  :)

As a fly fisherman who likes wading, I have a new positive appreciation for our winters. The moose and occasional bear I sometimes see don't generate the same fear reaction as your alligators. You wouldn't find me wading in your waters!
