Water cooled muffler and hood vent
« on: April 08, 2014, 01:17:57 AM »
Thought some would like to see some more pics of my water cooled exhaust, and fiberglass cover vent for the hood. This is by far the best way to not only to rid the engine compartment of heat, but significantly reduce the amount in the first place. Add in the smooth mellow note and I'm wondering why more people haven't jumped into this yet.

Pumps rebuilt and plumbed for bilge and supply for muffler.

It's Spring finally and time to break out those dusty Mokai.  :)

Nice, Tom.  I see Honda rings.  Are you doing Honda motors too?

Oh.. no, this customer has 4 Mokai and I made mufflers for the Subaru models, but plumbed his Honda pumps by request as he had plans to come up with something for his Honda motors on his own. Guess I should have clarified that, thanks for pointing it out.

Tom

its been a while since I was on here. Looks like you all have been busy making all kinds of new mods. I'm interested in the water cooled muffler for my Honda gx 200

Thanks
Jeff

I still have the vertical version of my muffler I built for my GX200, but I'm only making exhausts for the Subaru now. Good to hear from you, it has been a while.

All future mufflers will have a stainless washer added to the outlet to act as an additional baffle for even more noise reduction. Has had zero effect on performance.  \./8

Hey Tom where did you get or did you make the air intake cover?

I make them, my fiberglass muffler cover. Unless you are talking about the front cooling inlet scoop, that is the stock piece from the Honda models.   :)

I was referring to the air inlet scoop, I was thinking of putting something like that on my es-cape. What do you charge for your muffler and cover upgrade?

Gotcha'. I make the muffler cover for the ES-kape, haven't come up with anything for the inlet side. With the close quarters of everything on those models, it has to be the water cooled muffler. Pump needs to be plumbed for the 1/8-27 supply fitting too.

Water Cooled ES-kape Muffler $320
Fiberglass Muffler Cover $135
