Hi Tom,   I wasn't able to reply to your last comment on your web site so I'm including it here:

The location you have suggested would be just fine.  I did a mock-up with a spare cable and it works every bit as well as my original.

Thanks so much for your input.  You have been a great help in this project since the inception and I appreciate that.

You may post this to the web site is you are able...    Thanks again,  Bill

You're welcome, Bill. I'm glad to help.
Tom

Thanks, guys, for your comments.  Yes, Bernie, I am planning to make some of the septums for those who woul like them. They may require a bit of final fitting to the cup since none are exactly alike.  They will also require drilling, countersinking and tapping 4 #4-40 holes to mount them to the cup.  If you want me to mount it, I will need your reverse unit, less the cable and lever, and $25 for return postage.  I won't charge for the septum and screws.
Let me know how much. And I will send you the money.....Barnie Martinez

I have three options for you, Barnie.  1. I will send you a septum and 4 mounting screws at no charge.  You would need do a little final fitting to assure the septum contour matches the cup, drill and countersink 4 holes in the cup and line drill and tap 4, #4-40 holes into the septum and then fasten them together per instructions I provide.  2. Remove and Send me your reverse unit, less the cable, and I will install the septum and return the unit to you at no charge.  3. I will send you a new unit with the septum and cable, less the lever assembly since yours is modified, and you will remove and return your unit to me.

The second and third options will cost you about $25 for the shipping your unit to me.  I will obsorb the cost for return shipping.  Just let me know you preference.   Bill

Thanks.  I have one unit left in case you might be interested.  I don't have any more strated right now.  It's time to get out of the shop and on the water.  If there is a demand, I'll probably build some more in the fall and winter.   ;)

Here it is just about 3 years to the day since I posted on the above and I have in fact built a few more reverse units.  Today I completed unit N which is destined to go to Silverton, OR, to join unit M.  I still enjoy the kind of work that goes into making them and it keeps me out in my shop on those rainy days, of which we have had plenty this year.  :)

Nice work, great job once again.  \./8 These boats have provided countless hours of fun for many of us, water isn't always required.  :)
