Hey, Chuck.  This is timely.  I hope to get out to Freeport and put in the Allegheny next week.  Now I'll feel like I've been there before.

Fished the Youghiogheny yesterday and had a Twilight Zone experience.  Saw five muskies in one hour in one pool.  Fish everywhere but only caught one bass.  Our rivers are gems.

Hope you catch some biggies. Check out the Kiski up near the Dam if you go. Just remember which way you went up stream in order to have an easier time getting back down thru the mini rapids.

Will do.  The Kiski river starts not far from my home but I've never spent time on it.  Looking forward to exploring the mouth.

Thanks. We'll have to try again next year. My wife and I were north of you last week in Wellsboro to visit the Pa Grand Canyon.

These are the reservoirs created by my favorite river, the Mahoning.
After awhile, a lot of these bridges start to look familiar....:D

Hey Chuck! Itís been a while since I was at ď the Grand Canyon of Pa. ď. The water is usually too low for the Mokai, but itís popular for rafters.

In your pictures ( #80 Bridge ), is that in Pa? Looks familiar.

Beautiful day on the Grand River, Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Chatted with a couple Ohio Wildlife officers (they were check commercial perch haul). They told me the Steelhead were "stacking up" at the break wall and lighthouse area in preparation of the fall run. Fished for several hours but no luck. Too sunny and water temperature needs to drop a couple degrees. IIRC, water temp was about 66F. Another week or two with some more rain will bring them in.

Brought my wife up to the Grand River for the first time a few days ago. No luck trying to catch a catfish or two. Looks like fairly calm waters for you that day.
