Honda compatible engine?
« on: December 19, 2019, 03:43:47 PM »
I came across this in an unrelated search and wondered if this would be a fit for the Honda used in the original Mokai. A shame if not as it seems to be a viable boost to the original. It greatly boosts HP, RPMs and doesn't add much weight to the original design.

The GX200 based engines have been used by many people to upgrade the old Honda. It doesn't fit as well as the Subaru, harder to make an exhaust for, makes more noise due to pushrods, and electric start isn't as nice.  The Subaru EX21 is still the best choice for upgrading, all I will use when doing conversions. The EX21 makes more power than the hopped up GX200 I had.
