Trailer Woes
« on: October 04, 2019, 08:02:15 PM »
Dang Lehigh river - It's too high, it's too low. Now it ate my trailer.
Trailer went off the end of the ramp. Bottom corner, I suspect, caught and tore out the spindle & wheel.

Looking for ideas. My son in law is a welder so i'm lucky there. I could have him build a 3ft square box and hang springs on it. Then bolt it under the existing trailer. I was always concerned that the original Mokia trailer didn't have springs. But then again, I suck so bad backing down narrow ramps, I often just got out and picked it up to straighten it out. A box frame and springs will be steel and heavier.

Boy ! Got no love here at all !   :'(  -  LOL

Turns out the channel was also twisted. Got a local shop to straighten it.
Luckily I was able to get an OEM axle and side mount plate.

All looks nice and straight now. Gona install new seals, grease bearings and bolt on hubs today.
