Low water level on the Susquehanna river
« on: September 27, 2019, 02:04:30 PM »
Last Saturday I was out on the Susquehanna river where I put in at River front park just west of Marietta . There were rocks sticking out everywhere and you really had to watch going up through dodging rocks left and right. About a mile after passing underneath the railroad bridge I had to get out and drag the boat's, mine and my girlfriends over a stretch of gravel. Then I thought about going up to the Conewago falls just past the Falmouth boat launch, knowing that the rocks would all be exposed and you could see how the water carved out neat patterns after centuries of water flowing over them. So when I got there I wasn't disappointed and took a few pictures I will share with you. This is about a mile or so south of TMI nuclear power plant. ⁰

I know it! Iím going back to the Delaware Saturday, as the Schuylkill River is not even worth it, plus with the low level, all the vegetation clogs me up fast.
I wonít even touch the Susquehanna right now. Iím not great at spotting submerged rocks.

Iíd love to go out with you guys sometime! Iím not too far away.

Nice - I'll have to try it down there. I was at Liverpool last year. Fishing was poor. All PA levels were worse than last year.
