"Painless" Mokai Total Rebuild-2011 Electric Start (SOLD)
« on: June 21, 2019, 05:10:36 PM »
2011 this time. All the good stuff. Rock solid boat built with a proven combo that won't need anything and won't let you down. Ride hands free, go in shallow water, pull and electric start, and all of my best upgrades. I don't get to offer these very often so get it while it's available.

Thanks, one day it will. Looks like I'll be contending with the "what makes it better than the new one" questions for a while. There's a home for it out there with someone who will appreciate this for what it is.  \./8

You may get 5 grand if you include shipping. Lot's of great upgrades makes it well worth consideration over the new Mokai.

The fact that this is a proven combo with all the bugs worked out makes it worth considering over the new Mokai, their price of $5600 doesn't included shipping. And the problems I've seen with those boats so far are issues that are insurmountable. Get something you know will work, or spend more on the new model and risk being a guinea pig.  I sold the last two I rebuilt for more than 5 grand the past few months, not to mention years past, both customers are very happy and they were glad to pay shipping.. One was to Canada. I dropped my price down to $5k as incentive since the new model is an option now, not worth my time to rebuild these to this level for less. If you want a stock 2012 with no upgrades, I'll sell you one of those for $3200. All the work I put into this boat would total out at $2500 if it was a job.  ;)

Man, I wish mine went that fast! My top speed is about 9mph, downstream!

Don't know your weight, but the leading cause of speed loss is a worn or loosely clearanced wear ring. The tighter the clearance without rubbing, the faster you will go.

And SALE PENDING  >:D

I already know itís my weight. Pushing 310lbs. Wear ring & impeller are good.

Figured your re-build would sell fast! Congrats!

Thanks, I've got two more to start on next. Hope those find good homes as quickly.  >:D

For the weight, your 9 mph is pretty good. Definitely better than paddling so enjoy.  \./8

Iím sure I whine about the speed sometimes, but in the end Iím very happy with my Mokai. The only option for more power is a jet boat, and I have no interest in that.

LOL I've never noticed any difference in sale price because of color. Most people just want to get their hands on one and go from there. haha
