Exercising the ES-kape - Got stuck
« on: June 08, 2019, 01:15:51 PM »
Water is low, was planning on some fishing but that didn't work out so I decided to take the ES-kape out for a spin since it had been a while. No GPS on this boat so going through the woods by memory doesn't always work, especially when the river is so low and everything looks foreign! Keeps things interesting for sure!  >:D

It was, most of the places when I was back in between all the trees was less than 2' deep. Many places I just barely cleared, could feel the pump guard dragging now and then.

I've seen the little Lady Liberty many times, just not from the river. That would be fun! Hope you got some pictures or video?

I don't fish from the Mokai, haven't done that since I built my Jet Jon 6 years ago. Only fish for Catfish when I do though, they are easy to clean, taste great, and fit nicely in my freezers. haha  :D

The water wasnít too bad, but the low head dams were challenging. One grabbed hold of the bow and pulled me in! I was able to break free with the paddle quickly, but I wonít be going back there. I donít have enough power.
I donít fish, at least not yet. I was magnet fishing with a new magnet I ordered. Found an old pick axe ⛏ head, maybe late 1800ís.

I thought your water levels looked low. My favorite river is at 9 feet, close to flood stage after 2 days of heavy downpours last week. We'll get out there soon enough, them catfish will be there, for both of us. Lol
