Schuylkill River and Delaware River 6/1/2019
« on: June 02, 2019, 10:43:03 AM »
Craig5251 guided us to see some great scenery through rivers filled with incredible amount of various floating rubbish. I am not used to pulling pump even once during single trip, but here I've stopped at least 6 times to find multiple twigs inside the pump.  Nonetheless it was absolutely worth it.

Isn't the Delaware River tidal water ?

Roughly half is tidal, lower 133 of 330 miles. So the part we explored is considered tidal.

Doesn't the Delaware River contain salt water from the Delaware Bay ?

It sure does. They call it brackish water.

I still think the city tours in the Mokai, such as your post are great. Lots to see and wildlife too. These pics remind me of our Pittsburgh trip, only on steroids! Thanks for posting, love seeing others adventures. 👍🏻

What of the Delaware do you launch from ? Since the Delaware has salt in it you must be lauching way up river.

Sorry, I do not understand your question. If you are asking about location, please refer to the GPS tracks in the first post.

We launched from the RiverGate Ramp, in National Park, NJ.

If there is much rain a few days prior to launching, I wouldn’t recommend it. Tons of debris in the rivers from the runoff!
