2005 Conversion / Overhaul Finished
« on: April 12, 2019, 10:29:46 PM »
This one had no motor when I bought it. Owner thought I would sell a ready to drop in engine and threw the entire Honda engine in the trash. Years later he decided to just sell the boat instead, so I had to make mounting feet, linkage bracket, choke rod, air plenum base, and fuel line / tank connector. Had this one sold before I started. Looking for another now.  \./8

It was intended to be a tension knob for the steering stick, but it's pointless with nothing on the other side to hold the bolt head. Just a carry over from the original design that I had no reason to change. Makes it easier to take apart if needed.

Storage in the foam flotation is great. Tom.  I would like to see how you did it.  Thanks

Thanks, George. I put a hacksaw blade in some vicegrips, heated it with a torch to do the plunge, then began the tedious process of sawing my way down to each corner. Then used something longer to plunge all the way through and repeated the process from the rear. Eventually I cut enough to begin the process of using a 10lb sledge to knock the center block out. It wasn't fun, and I'm sure there are several easier methods, but this was what I talked myself into this time. LOL It got the job done.  :D
