Flew yesterday 30,000 above the Altamaha river few miles east of Jesup. Looks nice from high above. Was squinting hard to see a Mokai on water :)

Just saw this! LOL I wasn't on the river this week, but a few miles east of Jesup is where you would have found me! LOL If you're ever passing through feel free to drop in for a river tour, my Mokais are always ready for some fun.  \./8

Too tired & windy today to take it out. Heard Sunday would be warmer and less wind after a little rain..........Now they are saying it will be warmer, BUT, much more wind! Iíll just have to keep the spray down ( cold water ).

I just canít let record setting temps go to waste!

Well, the verdict is in; THIS IS GREAT!!! Canít wait for spring! Up to 45 mph gusts today, but I chose an area with high banks.

The first thing I noticed was how responsive it was, huge improvement.
Before the new motor, I had to shut it off to talk to other boaters, but not now. Much quieter.

I cruised around for about two hours, with several hot starts, no problems at all. Water was crystal clear.
When I got out, I noticed there was absolutely no water in the boat! That has never happened. Apparently the extended water cooling tube is keeping all the water out. I didnít realize the short one was the cause, but I think so.

Thatís the Black Rock RR Tunnel, in Phoenixville Pa. I donít think itís in use anymore.

I clocked my speed upstream at 9.5mph, with a slight current, and downstream at 11mph. The best I could do upstream was about 6mph, so thatís great! I went farther upstream than I ever have, but didnít realize it until I got home.

Warm spurt is over, oh well. It least I got to road test it.🤗🤗

Temps in the low 50ís today, so I hit the river. Preferred ramp was iced over, so I went to a different location. Fortunately, a big bass boat broke up the ice. The only snow & ice was at the ramp!
The engine seemed a good bit louder today, but Iím not sure. Also kept getting a strong vibration through the hull at full power. Iím assuming itís part of the break in cycle.

Had a good time!

Probably got some ice or debris in your impeller causing vibration. There is no break in cycle btw.

Wow, you know your stuff! I completely forgot I ran over a mini iceberg a short time before I felt the vibration. A half hour later, it was gone.
I avoided them after that.
Thanks
