2005 Converted to EX21/17 Head ES Water Cooled Muffler
« on: July 24, 2018, 08:58:33 PM »
Bought this boat a while back to sell, it's been spoken for already, and wanted to share the results.

I redesigned the outlet of my water cooled muffler. The first couple designs had the tubing exit at the outlet along with the exhaust, so it would be blown away from the boat as well as be seen. But that would sometimes result in water dribbling back down the muffler and into the hull, nothing substantial, but it made a mess non the less and I didn't like that people had to tolerate that. So this is the next generation that works very well. I think this is the tidiest build I've done yet. I'm also heating the air plenum and remolding it to fit the hood now, makes for a much neater and better sealed mating area.

Nice job! Does this one have an inter-cooler to go with the water cooled muffler like mine?

Thanks. If you look at the picture, the linkage on those is right under where the intercooler would be, and blocks easy access to hooking everything up. Also less room against the hull right there when dropping the motor in, so it isn't very practical.

Guess I assumed they were a pair, needed one with the other. Maybe send Cheri's pump down this winter. Thanks
