Aluminum Wear Rings
« on: February 28, 2013, 10:12:48 PM »
Thought I'd share a picture of the wear rings I made for a customer this week.

Spring is around the corner, don't let a plastic grooved up ring slow you down!

Rebuildable aluminum ring lasts forever, and you don't have to beat it in or out.  ;D

We added a third car garage for the MG, waiting for the painters to paint the whole house and garage. Glutters up then and then going to the city Of Deer Park to ask for a permit. For addition add on driveway..........Barnie

I finally repaired a feed gear in my lathe, and built a cooling system, so I thought everyone would like to see the parting operation for a wear ring.

Looks good! Hope it works out long term. Use a magnit by the oil pump when do steel, helps prevent clogs!   ;D if it haven't been done already?

I use an antifreeze type coolant, it drains through a screen back to the reservoir. I haven't had a problem with clogs, but the magnet trick sounds like it could come in handy for some applications. Thanks for the tip.  ;D

Sorry Barnie, I'm a packrat.... If I get rid of something, it WAS trash! lol  :D

For those who haven't switched over to one of these yet, I have plenty in stock. The last wear ring you'll ever need.  \./8
