Shipping my kayaks
« on: June 19, 2018, 10:12:31 PM »
I purchased two kayaks years 2007 and 2009. They are being shipped to me in the back of a long bed pick up. What advice do you have for my shipper on securing the hull so that it doesn’t crack from flexing off the back of the truck.

Stern should be loaded first, the bow can hang off no problem. The 2007 isn't going to crack, those models didn't have issues with that in any critical areas beyond normal wear and tear. The 2009 is already cracked and it doesn't really matter since there is nothing the shipper is going to do to make that worse. Congrats on those two though, good deal you got there. \./8
